Val Pherson has come through with another great advertisement for Rutland. Val is a sophomore in Graphic Design at South Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota and worked on this for a class project. She took pictures that are symbolic of Rutland and the area and placed them in the R U T L A N D letters. The colors are magnificent and the whole poster is eye catching. Val is working with her college instructor on how best to utilize this artistic piece. We know that Rutland will certainly benefit from whatever she decides to do. Thanks Val. You are so talented.
Hi,
I have a picture of the Ladies Aid in Rutland, North Dakota. My grandfather, Jay Strong was born in 1888 and his mother, Josephine Strong, along with 10 other un-named ladies. The picture is not dated but I’m sure in was in the 1880’s. Would you like a copy sent to you?

We will get it posted and see if we can’t name a few of the other ladies in the photograph.
I finally did send the picture to your email address. Hope you got it.
